Thank You, Jesus!

Can you tell that I have grown in my faith the past few days? My trials have been great with the internet provider as we’ve had no service at the church since Friday. However, because of much prayer they did show up today to test it. I had a meeting to attend so I do not know the results yet, but when I left they were replacing the cable from the tower to the office. At least they did find a problem that wasn’t my computer as they previously suggested. James 1:12 says “God will bless you, if you don’t give up when your faith is being tested” (CEV). I cannot begin to fathom the blessing coming my way as a result of this ordeal (though I am not bragging…James addresses that in chapter 4!). We are also told “These trials will prove that your faith is worth much more than gold that can be destroyed” (1 Peter 1:7). Hopefully it will soon be over and I will not have to try and work from home evenings while we are trying to do first and third grade homework…which in itself is a tremendous trial! Seriously, it is our trials that enable us to grow in our faith. How little I would need God if I never faced trials beyond my ability to manipulate or control. It’s in the midst of the trial that I more fully learn to rely upon God…the One in complete control. How wonderful it is to have Jesus to rely upon!
