Come, Holy Spirit!

We have experienced a series of mountain top events lately. Different groups of people at different venues have each experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit in a most powerful way. That can be confirmed, because now the enemy is at work trying to derail not only those blessings, but any blessings we might receive in the near future. There are folks in our congregation who are suffering from a multitude of darts and arrows and they are hurting. There are also those within our congregation who have become divisive. All of this I attribute to satan. We have ahead of us, in just a couple of weeks, our Lay Witness Mission…this is a tremendous opportunity for our entire congregation to experience again the power of the Holy Spirit working in and thru the lives of lay people who will come to us from Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri, and Illinois. I pray that we might be found open to the Spirit of the Living God, not that we might see what God is doing elsewhere, but that we might become channels of his grace to one another and to those outside the walls of our church. As we wait for the LWM to begin, may we all keep our eyes focused on the Lord while our prayers continually rise to his throne.
