It did not offend me, but I watched it twice anyway. It did make me think though. Are we really that bad? You may not think you treat it as an idol or worship it as a God but in reality you do.
Recently I read a devotion in the Upper Room that commented on idols. It pointed out an area of idol worship that I had not considered. It was past hurts that a person hangs on to and will not let go off. We put that person that caused the hurt in place of the space God should be occupying. We need to be aware as Christians that the devil uses many tatics.
This didn't go where I thought it was going, but it sure makes a person stop and think! So does your comment about 'playing church'! Got to keep focused on Christ!!

ReplyDeleteANYTHING that takes our eyes off of Jesus is an idol...could even be playing church!
